Welcome to The Heron from owners Tim Berthel and Dr. Jame Berthel.  We are pleased you'll be joining us at our distinctive supper club located in a historic downtown Danville, Illinois landmark where you'll enjoy fine dining in the magnificent building that's been restored to its original old world elegance.

The Heron, at 34 North Vermilion Street, is  available for private parties and corporate luncheons any day by appointment.

For your dining pleasure, The Heron provides live entertainment, featuring Jame Berthel singing your favorite Jazz, Standards, and Ballads.

2008 Festival of Trees at The Heron

Hello All and Welcome Autumn!

In this beautiful season, we are honored again this year to host the pre-gala Festival of Trees meet and greet at The Heron.

We will follow the usual drill: dinner will be served in the early evening for those who want to enjoy a quiet meal before the hubbub. If dinner is not your plan, the bar will be fully geared up for the onslaught from 5:30 until the cows come home.

This year guests will have new territory to roam, as we have added The Rookery wine cellar, where cocktails are fireside and the kitchen is a stone's throw away, in case you want just a little something on the side.

In the past, Festival guests have gathered for formal cocktails before wandering over to the Gala Opening, then returned for a final nightcap before floating home. Dinner will however be available for anyone throughout the evening, and we are of course open to the public as well as Gala people.

Please inform your friends that we are open for the Festival of Trees Gala, as we are still testing the full capabilities of our new mail server. We will remind you again of this as the Gala draws near.
